Wang expected the international balance of payments will continually maintain an equilibrium and keep stable in the future, supported by resilient economic growth momentum, and the new development model of "dual circulation".
Wang said that China's fiscal policy support needs to intensify in the second half of the year to ensure sufficient funding for major projects and the protection of people's basic livelihoods. Meanwhile, monetary policy will be more targeted to help lower funding costs for smaller businesses, as there have been signs of marginal policy fine-tuning by the central bank, he added.
Wang noted that China's approach coincides with that of Russia, and the two sides will continue to maintain close communication on the road map for resolving the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula.
Wang said that as more Chinese parents send their children to study in the US at younger ages, he believes many if not most of them will face issues similar to what he did.
