MACAO, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Macao Special Administrative Region(SAR) Legislative Election General Auditing Committee announced the official results of the election of the fourth Legislative Assembly of Macao on Tuesday night.     In line with the Basic Law, the new legislature is composed of 29 seats including 12 directly-elected seats, 10 indirectly-elected seats, and seven others which will be appointed by the SAR's chief executive.     A total of 122 candidates from 16 groups contested in the direct elections, while the indirect elections did not take place since only 10 candidates have been fielded by the four constituencies involved for the 10 seats.     Eight of the 12 candidates who won the direct elections were veteran lawmakers that have served their terms in the legislature, which includes Kwan Tsui Hang, Chan Meng Kam, Ng Kuok Cheong, Angela Leong On Kei, Jose Maria Pereira Coutinho, Lee Chong Cheng, Ung Choi Kun, and Au Kam San were the winners of the direct elections, while Ho Ion Sang, Mak Soi Kun, Chan Wai Chi and Melinda Chan Mei Yi become the new faces in the legislature.     For the part of indirect elections, the list of winners comprises Ho Iat Seng, Kou Hoi In, Fong Chi Keong, and Cheang Chi Keong of the industrial, commercial and financial sector; Lau Cheok Va, Lam Heong Sang of labor sector; Chui Sai Cheong and Leonel Alberto Alves of professional sector; Vitor Cheung Lup Kwan and Chan Chak Mo of social, cultural, educational and sports sector.     The election of the fourth term of the Legislative Assembly of the Macao SAR officially started Sunday morning. The authorities delayed announcing the results of the legislative election because6,539 ballots were found to be spoiled, the SAR's Legislative Election Affairs committee said Monday.     Some 149,006 of the total 249,886 registered voters cast their ballots during the polling period, but 6,539 of these ballots were deemed as invalid, according to the SAR's Legislative Election Affairs Committee.     This year's voter turnout stood at 59.9 percent, compared with 58.39 percent in the previous legislative election in 2005.     The results of the legislative election still need to be submitted to the SAR's Court for final approval, and the confirmed results will be published on the SAR's Official Gazette on Sept. 30 at the latest.

BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Beijing has widened a ban on flying activities to include pigeons and kite flying in its latest efforts to beef up security ahead of the National Day celebrations, police said Tuesday.     The ban, which is effective from Sept. 15 to Oct. 8, applies to sports, recreational and advertising flight activities in the capital.     Li Runhua, head of the public security squadron of the Beijing municipal public security bureau, said residents were banned from releasing pigeons, and flying kites and balloons even at celebrations and shopping promotions.     Li encouraged residents to report to police if they find suspicious flying objects.     Police also started to check every vehicle entering Beijing at nearly 200 major road intersections and security check points on Tuesday.     Police would check drivers' and passengers' ID and confiscate imitation guns, fireworks and knives until Oct. 8.     More than 7,000 police have been patrolling the city's major roads and business districts since Aug. 22.     China will stage a wide array of activities, including a grand military parade in Beijing, to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) on Oct. 1.     Chinese citizens will have an eight-day public holiday from Oct. 1 to 8.

BEIJING, Aug. 8 (Xinhua) -- China's ChangAn Auto Co., Ltd., a leading domestic auto maker, announced Saturday that its sales volume rose more than 82 percent year on year last month.     The Chongqing-based company sold 107,863 units of vehicles in July, up 82.4 percent year on year, it said in a statement to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.     The company produced 118,037 units of vehicles in July, up 64.9 percent year on year.     The Shenzhen-listed firm's shares had fallen 5.24 percent to 10.31 yuan a share Friday before the release of the report.

HAIKOU, Oct. 12 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers have recovered the bodies of three victims in a boat capsizing incident after tropical storm Parma landed in south China's Hainan Province Monday.     Strong winds and waves triggered by Parma caused a fishing boat to capsize and sink off the coast of Wanning City Monday morning, and all nine fishermen aboard the vessel fell into water, a spokesman with the Hainan Provincial Emergency Response Office said.     By 5 p.m., one body had been retrieved and five people had been rescued. At about 8 p.m., the bodies of two more victims were found, according to the maritime bureau of Hainan. BEIJING, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- China's new yuan-dominated loans in September was expected to reach 300-400 billion yuan (44-59 billion U.S. dollars), China Securities Journal reported on its website Tuesday.     The figure was less than that of August, which hit 410.4 billion yuan.     Liu Mingkang, Chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC), provided the figure during an International Monetary Fund (IMF) conference held in Istanbul, Turkey on Monday.     New loans in the first eight months stood at 8.15 trillion yuan, far exceeding the full-year target of five trillion yuan, according to he People's Bank of China, the central bank, this September.     The CBRC reiterated in September that domestic lenders should seek to enhance their risk management and stick to regulatory requirements to reduce worries over financial risks caused by rapid credit growth this year.     China began to adopt a moderately easy monetary policy in last November in a bid to maintain economic development amid the financial crisis.
