Japan and the US kicked off the first round of their economic dialogue chaired by Japan's Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso on Tuesday, outlining a path forward for economic talks between the two countries.
Japan will continue with its ongoing preparations for Tokyo to host the Games, due to start on July 24, as planned and in coordination with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Tokyo's organizing committee and the metropolitan government, said Suga.
Ji made the remark while answering reporters' questions on India's re-banning of mobile apps with Chinese backgrounds.
Japanese Education Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi said he took Abe's presence at the event as a positive signal for bilateral ties.
