We need to forge greater synergy of the Belt and Road Initiative with national development strategies as well as region-wide cooperation initiatives such as the Eurasian Economic Union. We need to enhance connectivity and further integrate our industrial, supply and value chains for unimpeded economic circulation in the region. We need to facilitate reopening of economic activities through the "fast track" that steps up mobility of people and the "green lane" that quickens the flow of goods. We need to foster an open, fair and nondiscriminatory business environment for each other's companies, and expand mutual investment among us. We need to seize opportunities from the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation to step up cooperation in digital economy, e-commerce, artificial intelligence and smart cities. Next year, China will host a China-SCO forum on the digital economy industry in Chongqing, which will provide a platform for innovation cooperation among parties. We need to put the people first, and implement more joint projects that deliver real benefits to them. China supports setting up an SCO joint working group on poverty reduction and stands ready to share our good experience with other parties.
We focus on technologies such as face recognition, which will enhance capabilities of hospitals in many aspects. In fact, we do these businesses more through cooperation with hospitals rather than doing it on our own.
We look forward to more measures of opening-up, which we believe will give international companies more room to expand their footprint, and will also benefit Chinese customers.
Was he scared? “Worried, I think, is more like it,” Shockey said.

Washington's roadmap to swallow TikTok has become increasingly clear. It first accused the social media platform of endangering America's national security, a totally baseless charge. Then it threatened to ban it with executive orders, and forced the company to sell itself to US buyers.

Washington should stop politicizing or interrupting Sino-US people-to-people exchanges, as such exchanges form the basis of promoting bilateral cooperation in various areas and conform to the aspirations of both countries' peoples, Beijing said on Monday.
We believe that a vibrant market and care for the people should go hand in hand. Compliance oversight should not cause undue inconveniences to average citizens. In this round of government institutional reform, for example, we have decided to merge the various market regulatory bodies in order to slim down the bloated ranks of officials who deal with market entities on a daily basis and exercise unified law enforcement.
We all want free and fair trade, and you can argue about negotiations with China, or taking a tougher stance with Mexico, or what have you, but the fact is — and the data just shows this — the jobs that are going away are primarily going away because of automation. And that’s going to accelerate. Driverless Uber and the equivalent displacement that’s going to take place in office buildings across the country is going to be scary for folks. Which means we’re going to have to start thinking about where the jobs come from, and how much government involvement is there in the marketplace, and do we have a job-sharing economy so that everybody has work, because it turns out that work is not just about finances, but it’s about dignity and feeling like you’ve got a place in the world? How do you pay for that? If more and more people are working in the service sector, how do we make sure that they’re getting paid enough? In addition to making an argument that, “If you want a better deal, then you better start unionizing and organizing, ‘cause otherwise you’re going to get screwed,” in addition to making the argument that if you’re in the service sector right now, you should be fighting for a higher minimum wage ‘cause across the board, everybody in the service sector is going to be better off … In addition to those traditional arguments, we, I think, probably have to be more creative about anticipating about what’s coming down the pike. Automation is relentless and it’s going to accelerate. You saw just what happened to retail stores, sales this past Christmas. Amazon and online sales is killing traditional retail, and what’s true there is going to be true throughout our economy.
