Xi said the Arab world actively responded to and widely supported his proposal that the Belt and Road should be built as a road of peace, prosperity, opening-up as well as innovation, and one that connects different civilizations, during the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing in May.
Xi said that by then China will become a global leader in terms of composite national strength and international influence, with common prosperity for everyone basically achieved and the Chinese people enjoying happier, safer, and healthier lives.
Xi affirmed their progress in terms of independent innovation, saying the Party central committee highly values and has been working to facilitate the development of SMEs.
Xi added that he is ready to strengthen cooperation in jointly building the Belt and Road to benefit the two countries and the two peoples and make contributions to building a closer China-Africa community with a shared future.
Xi pointed out that the synergy of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative and the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union has yielded early fruit this year, with outstanding improvement in the bilateral trade structure.
